The Mingarro brothers, Juan (1978) and Alejandro (1981) were born in Huesca, and spent their childhood in BinéfarIn. In 2006, they founded Brosmind studio and stablished in Barcelona.

Their style is fresh and optimistic and always combines fantasy and humor. Their illustrations have been awarded with the most prestigious international awards, like Cannes Lions, Clio, Eurobest, Graphis, Sol, CdeC, Laus, among others… The brothers have work for clients such as Nike, Microsoft, Virgin, Gillette, Honda, Land Rover, Volkswagen, Kidrobot… but their universe is not fully understood without their personal artistic projects, like Brosmind Army, Brosmind RV, Brosmind City, Brosmind Wagon and the most recent What’s Inside?

I like the way BROSMIND use bright colours, fun shapes to build up interesting characters and simple neat line work to build up smooth shapes. They use repetition of line and colour to create texture. They use repetition of colour, shape and lines to create pattern. In some of there characters they use repetition of building, stairs, windows and other things to create repetition and scale.

  1. I really like the randomness of shape and colours Brosmind uses, I believe the colours in these characters really give them originality which is hard to come by these days. I also appreciate the abstract imagery in Brosmind’s work with all of the different shapes squashed into a small place and how everything connects to create the character.
